A timely song

I think the values of compassion and forgiveness are important. I just wish I was better at it than I am, but I suppose we all have difficulty with that one.

I’ve been listening to Tom Wait’s “Orphans” CD a lot lately, and I was particularly moved by the song “Down There By The Train”. Tom wrote it in 1994 and the late Johnny Cash recorded it for the first of his Rick Rubin produced projects “American Recordings”. Tom’s own version is one of those songs that just stays with you.
